HIKING ON BEACH
Scenic Highway 30A, Dune Allen Walk in the Sand
Dune Allen was a bit of a surprise because it is not one of the more popularly advertised beaches. The area is most commonly residential homes and condos with neighborhood walkovers to the beach.
The Dune Allen Regional Beach Access point offers parking and facilities open to the public. You can also get to this beach from Topsail Hill State Park. It is definitely worth visiting if you are visiting the 30A area beaches.
This pure white sand is super soft and perfect for kicking off your shoes and walking in the sand barefoot.
We were lucky enough to be there on a perfect day and walked along the shore until sunset. Sunsets along this stretch are absolutely beautiful.
