Walk in the Sand along the East side of the Pensacola Pier

2 mile hike from the Pier to our home beach

Pensacola Beach is one of the worlds most beautiful beaches.

By starting our journey along the Pensacola Beaches, it puts a high bar on the rest of the beaches around Florida.

We stayed in the areas of beachfront homes about 2 miles from the Pier. This area of the beach is less crowded and everything you think of when you think of beachfront living in Florida.

Our month-long stay was 1 block back from the beach and almost everyday, we went out and walked on this beach. It became known as our home beach. While we went and explored other beaches along the coastline, this one was the one where we could just go out for a walk in the middle of the day, enjoy a sunrise or sunset any day we were there, and we just fell in love with this spot!

This time of year, the sunrise and sunsets on Pensacola beach are breathtaking. In the winter months, both are over the water.

The sunrises on Pensacola beach were some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.

We spent many hours on this beach and watched the shifting sands, moving sandbars and gorgeous sunrises at low tide.

One of my favorite things about the beaches are the fact that the scenery is never exactly the same. Day to day, the sands shift, the tides are different, and sandbars move around. It just keeps things interesting. I have always been someone who not only welcomes change, but seeks change and the beach is my happy place!

While everyone looks towards the sun at sunrise and sunset, I love the view opposite the sun where the glow in the sky is just so pretty with pinks and light hues.

The mornings were so tranquil with the birds enjoying the beauty with me.

Blue herons are my favorite birds and one of the things I loved about the Pensacola area is that there was always a blue heron on the beaches.

These magestic birds are common on all of the beaches in Pensacola and Pensacola Beach is a great place for birding. Gulls and terns were common and fun to watch as well.

Sunset on Pensacola Beach. Yes, the sky really looks this orange.

The Perfect Day

One of the most memorable and breathtaking days was a day I decided to stay at home and work and skip the beach. My daughter went to the beach and called me and said “you have to come down here and bring my camera.”

This was a day that people dream about, a day where stories are inspired, and a day where relaxation is an understatement.

The waters were crystal clear with the emerald green shimmer. The sandbars were wide and flat, some exposed with others just a few inches deep. Not a cloud in the sky, 70 degrees, and waters almost as calm as a swimming pool.

Cortney and I spent most of the day at the beach enjoying walking around.

We walked in both directions over a mile from our beach access point and walked way out into the ocean on the sandbars.

Pensacola has something for everyone. Whether you are looking for lots of activities, a safe family beach, fishing, boating or just playing or hanging out on the beach, this is the place to be.

Pensacola Beach is a beautiful beach, charming beach town, lots of natural places, and lots of activities. It will be really hard to beat for a top beach town. Pensacola Beach is at the top of the list for  vacationing and living.

My Daily Walk in the Sand Inspiration & Thoughts

This day brought inspiration to me. It was one of the most peaceful days of my life walking around out on the sandbars and absorbing all the beauty around.

I have been through some hard times in the past 25 years. Vacations were difficult to go on as a single mom with 4 kids. Every vacation or beach outing was all about making the kids happy and keeping an eye out for the kids.

The perfect day on Pensacola Beach hit a massive relax trigger in me and it was the first moment in a very long time where I was able to be at the beach and just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a day like this. It brought a tremendous amount of peace.
